I just got back from Arizona last night-and boy can I tell you how glad I am to see trees instead of cactuses, squirrels instead of lizards...rivers instead of irrigation. But I think I'm the most glad to see my home-and my cats.
Plane rides stink. We got in at like, ten yesterday and then had to drive three hours home. I didn't ever get the chance to eat dinner because even though we stopped and got something to go, I was zonked out in the front seat. So we got in around three, and then I had to get stuff out of my suitcase. It was ridiculously long of a day yesterday.
But it was worth it-I got some great pictures that I'll be posting up here soon. We went to the grand canyon, best friends in Kanab, Utah, which is an animal sanctuary and a seven hour drive from our house though we only did that one way because we went there from the Grand Canyon, we went to the desert museum, and we went to some waterpark where I got a god awful sunburn. D< Let me just tell you, Arizona fails in the souveneir (sp?) department. I got one thing-this necklace. And then we went to the mall to go to this store we don't have back in New York.
Oh, and another thing. We went to the most amazing salad bar buffet-place called Sweet Tomatoes. We desperately need one around here. D:
And I finished My Sister's Keeper. The book is so different from the movie-so if you've seen the movie but not read the book you should-it's worth it.
